This 1 day course will run through the difference between equipment, aiding the correct selection for the task and application you wish to use a thermal camera for. We look at applications and benefits within different industries including Buildings, Electrical, Mechanical, Equine, R&D and more.

By the end of this course you will be able to make the correct selection of equipment you require ensuring correct capital investment, you will be able to identify the benefits you can bring to your current industry by using a thermal camera, how to perform simple image analysis and perform basic diagnosis.

We run this course both from our offices in Swindon and throughout the UK with other training providers. Please see our course calendar for future course dates and to book.

This course is also available to run corporately for your organisation at your premises, for further information or quotation please send us an enquiry with details of where, when and for how many people you wish to receive this training course.

The course involves a mix of classroom based learning, exercise labs and practical inspection with image capture review.

The course is aimed mainly for those completing electrical, mechanical or building inspections, although the basics of infrared do not change between applications and is a great foundation for any industry.

2 Day Full

This course is currently only run from our Swindon offices. Please see our course calendar for future course dates and to book.

Our bespoke solutions are extremely popular with larger companies and government agencies, most commonly delivered from your premises and for training a number of staff in a single course.

The fundamentals of using an infrared thermal camera are covered as per that of our 2 Day Basic thermography course held in Swindon throughout the year. The difference from our 2 day course is that our bespoke solution is delivered application specific to meet the needs of your organisation. Although our most common course applications are tailored towards either an electrical, mechanical or building inspection field, we can make truly provide a course solution that meets your needs if different, so please get in touch.

The course involves a mix of classroom based learning, exercise labs and practical inspection with specific case study review on the 2nd day.

Whatever your organisational needs, this course makes an ideal alternative to those who do not require a full level 1 certification for their staff but wish to ensure that the basic of inspection principles are understood.

Level 1 - Infrared Thermography

Level 1 is designed to prepare candidates in the use of thermal imaging equipment for both qualitative and quantitative thermography.

The syllabus topics covered are as per the requirements of ISO18436 and is trained over 4 days (a requirement to meet the number of minimum training hours as defined in ISO18436).

At the end of this course candidates shall be confident in the ability to undertake thermal imaging inspections, perform quantifiable temperature measurements, analyse images, use measurement tools and produce basic reports.

Measurement techniques follow those as per the requirements of ISO18434 for emissivity and reflectivity.

We strongly recommend that candidates have access to and have with them a thermal imaging camera (ideally make and model as per that likely to be using and a laptop with reporting software), if necessary please enquire for guidance when booking a course.

Aerial Application Training

New for 2016, following our extensive trials with UAV’s for thermal inspection, we were amongst the first in the UK to extend the use of UAV’s into the thermal imaging world in 2013. Our UAV’s have ranged from small sub 7KG systems to larger 7-20KG aircraft for longer range and endurance, with bespoke ground station units we have a great understanding of the application.

However, it isn’t all about flying and thermal imaging in itself is a skill that many UAV operators do not have. Trained and experienced operators who understand thermal imaging are essential in order to analyse and diagnose imaging.

This training course is designed for the UAV operator who is keen to offer thermal imaging as part of their service with a guarantee of providing factual and educated knowledge about the thermogram.

We will demonstrate an effective type of high quality thermal camera system for incorporation into any UAV, run through the basics of configuring this camera system, the use of the designated GUI for parameter adjustments and how to analyse the data captured.

This course is available from our offices in Swindon. Please see our course calendar for future course dates and to book.
